Al and Rob
"Being motorcyclists of many years, Rob and I were becoming increasingly frustrated that due to family commitments and pressures of work we were only able to get out on our bikes for day runs or manage a few days for a short tour, and there's only so much distance one can cover in a 5 day trip. We'd done Scotland, Belgium and Brittany in the last few years but where to go this year for somewhere different allowing for the fact we only had 5 free days, this was the question I was pondering when I came across the web site for GS Heaven, after a couple of e-mails to Russell the guy that runs it I was convinced that this would make a great change from our usual trips, a 2 hr flight to Malaga where we were to be picked up by Russell at the airport and taken to Pizarra where they are based.
So in January we booked a trip for 5 days for the coming April, eagerly anticipated the big day finally arrived, everything went smoothly even the flight was on time and after the airport pickup we were taken to collect our bikes, BMW R1200 GS Adventures the perfect machines for the mountainous terrain of Andalucia.
We had a wonderful time exploring somewhere different where we hadn't been before including one of the best biking roads I've ever ridden the A366 from Coin to Ronda, 70 kms of continuous sweeping bends with little or no traffic and wonderful views, it was so good in fact having discovered it early in the holiday we had to go and ride it again on the last day before we came home. So after sampling the delights of Southern Spain would we do this kind of trip again? you bet we would it really is GS Heaven."
